Space for new thinking

After a long days painting and searching I took a light shade of purple – the colour of lilac – and finally I found the open space I was looking for. Those ‘colour spaces’ – or colour tones  – appear also as a sound to me. Other painters like Kandinsky thought the same. Intentionally I listen to specific tonal sounds or instruments to get a certain impulse for my painting. It is not necessary to have only one specific sound in order to acchieve this hue of lilac: it may be inspired by a flute, a violine or maybe a piano. Actually I think that the tranfer from acoustic sounds into a tone of colour happens individually and has no binding character.

But neither the acoustic nor the colour sounds are the actual goal of my works.

Open space. Freedom. Freedom of any concepts.
