Acrylic Binder

For the colour field wall pigments are dissolved into water and bound by an acrylic binder. Altogether they turn into an almost odeur-free paint. Depending on the amount of water it is more or less opaque, quite simple. Acrylic binder or -solutions were industially developed and discovered as a material for artists just 50 years ago. Among the first paintings with this ‘new’ material were those on walls, on the outside of latin american buildings.
